Perhaps you've noticed a new logo, provided by the incomparable Mark Loraditch. Can't thank him enough for the awesome work, and I highly recommend him if anyone wants some graphic work done!
Moving on: Today, I completed drums and acoustic guitars for 6 of the 8 or 9 songs on my upcoming pop record. Many of you know that half of what I write is very pop-rock-y, and the other half is metal. To avoid inconsistency (sort of) I decided a while ago to separate the two styles into two different projects. So, this particular project is well underway. These are songs I wrote over the past several years and that I've been playing for a very long time now, so they're getting done quickly! I'm excited. Once they're recorded (hopefully before the end of March), I'll move on to the mixing stage. I'm so excited about these songs that I've asked a couple friends to join me in a band to perform them, along with some covers. Stay tuned for news on THAT front.
I'm pretty deep into the process of voicing a second audiobook. I'm not permitted to tell you much other than its really good and I'm having a great time reading it! While we're on the subject, don't forget to head over to Audible to get your copy of "Superhero City: Ghoul." The sequel is in the works, and I'm very excited about voicing that too.
I'm a few thousand words into my next story also. I'm aiming for a Young Adult Epic Fantasy sort of thing. The outline is about half done, and I've filled in the first few chapters. I've quite enjoyed the world building process and designing the characters. I just hope I'm not in over my head here. Oh, who am I kidding, of course I'm in over my head. But its fun anyway, so YOU can't make ME stop.
Ahem...Uh, that kinda got away from me at the end there. I'll be at Humagala's in Bel Air this Friday, 2/9 at 6pm. They have amazing burgers and pizzas, and great milkshakes there, so come on out and enjoy some of the music. I'll be playing some of the tunes I started recording, so you can get yourself a preview.
The Super Bueno Duo will be at Steelefish Grille, also in Bel Air, on Saturday 2/24 at 7pm. The food there is ALSO amazing, more seafood-y, and the service is wonderful. We'll be playing all you're favorite classics there, as well as some of the ones you're not crazy about.
That's all for today, but I'll be back eventually with some updates. Cheers!
